Monitoring, Evaluation and Reporting Manager
Veysel Çalka started to work at the activity field of Turkish Red Crescent in Mardin Nusaybin Temporary Accommodation Center in 2014 as a Youth Worker under the Children Programme. He worked with thousands of children from different nationalities and cultures. After his experience there, he also worked in Mardin-Midyat and Şanlıurfa-Suruç Temporary Accommodation Centers. He conducted thousands of activities that serve great benefits to children, such as Social Cohesion, Child Protection, Psychosocial Support, Peer Relationships, Leadership, Volunteering, and Prevention of Gender-Based Violence wimostly focuing to migrant children. In 2016, he worked in the process of establishment of Child-Friendly Spaces in Istanbul Sultanbeyli Community Center and İstanbul Bağcılar Community Center to expand Child-Friendly Spaces. In 2017, he continued his duty as Monitoring And Evaluation Officer in the Monitoring And Evaluation Team, which was established for the first time within the Child Programme Coordinatorship.
In 2017, he managed the setup processes of Child Programme’s Information System in order to progress the monitoring, evaluation, and reporting activities systematically, and to provide internal and external reporting needs.
Veysel Çalka, who continues his duty as Programmes Monitoring, Evaluation and Reporting Senior Team Leader; manages many different processes such as developing of monitoring and evaluation tools, developing Information System of Children Programme in line with the needs, developing reporting methods and techniques, managing the monitoring, evaluation and reporting processes with internal and external stakeholders.
Veysel Çalka graduated from the European University of Lefke, Faculty of Arts and Sciences, Department of Turkish Language and Literature in 2011 with a bachelor's degree.
